Fire service response was always prompt
The domestic was a small electrical fire around lunch time attended by Leamington and soon sorted. The first farm fire was arson in a barn of hay and straw. It was discovered about 11pm and attended again by Leamington. They stayed until about 6am the next day when Warwick took charge until the end. The second farm fire was again arson in an outdoor stack of large straw bales discovered at about 4pm. Again Leamington attended until Warwick arrived about 10pm complete with baked beans and potatoes wrapped in foil ready for cooking in the embers. I supplied the beer!
Leamington came again early morning and remained until the afternoon when the fire was finally out. In all these cases Leamington arrived very quickly but one must remember Warwick was a retained service and the crew all had to be called. - Mike Dixon, via email.
