Hide AdService manager for ISS, Colin Twidale, said: “We have made people aware the cafe’s closure is due to the cafe not breaking even due to high running costs, however, we are looking forward to forming the new Hub Service on Railway Terrace.
“This will continue to support people with learning disabilities who are looking for work.
“It is hoped the opportunities we can explore with people will be more meaningful, as we will work alongside each person individually to look at their needs and preferences.
“We are currently working with existing volunteers to look at future work possibilities for them. On behalf of the Hub Café, we would like to thank all customers, volunteers and staff for their support and commitment.”

Hide AdThe Hub had been open for almost three years and a spokesman added: “The café has been a focal point for people to meet socially and make new friendships.
“The Hub has supported 25 people with learning disabilities to develop their skills, three people have gone on to find paid employment since they worked in the café and a further nine people have moved on to other volunteering opportunities in workplaces that were more meaningful to them.
“They were able to do this after they had gained confidence and skills in the world of work at The Hub.”
The ISS services are funded by Warwickshire County Council and successfully tendered to continue The Hub in its new home.
