A burglar found his way on to the Warwick University campus through an open ground floor dormitory window at around 2.30am on Monday, June 23.
The intruder made off with a Motorola flip top mobile phone, which was on the window sill.

The victim was woken up by the sound of ‘clattering drinks glasses’, which were on the window sill.

She then got out of bed switched on the light and realised that her phone had been taken.

Five minutes later, the victim saw someone, who she believes was possibly male, wearing a dark hoodie on a pedal cycle heading towards the car park area of the campus.

Police would like to remind people that many thefts are committed by opportunist burglars who take advantage of valuables left on display and advise them to ensure valuables are kept in a safe place and encourage people to keep their windows locked at night.

Any witnesses who may have information regarding this crime call Warwickshire Police on 451111 or Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 quoting incident number 0300 dated June 23.
