Gold award for Tim

Year 11 student Tim Morris, pictured, and other pupils from Kenilworth School and Sports College took part in the Intermediate Maths Challenge.
The challengs is run by the UK Mathematics Trust and takes the format of a one hour test with 25 multiple choice questions, requiring students to think and use maths in unusual ways and in ways that they may not have done in lessons.

Tim scored a top mark and received a gold award for his efforts. He was also awarded ‘Best in School’. With such a high score Tim went through to the Olymiad where he was awarded a distinction and a gold medal, proving he was one of the top 100 people in the country who entered the challenge.As a result, he has been invited to attend a summer school at Queen's College, Birmingham University, along with around 40 other students.
