MUSIC

The Bombshell Belles perform at a night of 1940s nostalgia at Coombe Abbey Hotel tomorrow (Friday). The same members behind the popular and critically acclaimed D-Day Darlings – who performed at the hotel last year and will return in March – the female vocalists and their live band will be serenading crowds with a host of Second World War tunes as well as an array of music from other genres too. Guests are invited to don their best 1940s attire as they are taken back to the era with a three-course wartime-themed menu, which includes slow cooked beef in Coombe ale and queen of puddings. And after the Belles retire from re-creating the distinctive sound of The Andrew Sisters and Glenn Miller with their smooth harmonies, the evening will continue with a DJ taking to the stage to play a stream of hits from the 1940s onwards. Tickets for the 16-plus Bombshell Belles performance cost £44.95. Tickets can be bought online at www.coombeabbey.com
